Manu Barrage and Kashimpur Pump House are two important KPI installations under the Manu River Irrigation Project. The total area covered by the Manu River Irrigation Project is 22,672 hectares. Manu Barrage provides irrigation facilities to agricultural land during the dry season and Kashimpur Pump House drains flood water and hill slopes to protect the crops in the Haor area from flood. Apart from this, there are various regulator gates, siphon gates and switch gates in other projects and sub-projects under this department.
